Premier of Stone Games

The premier of the documentary Stone Games (Hra o kámen) takes place on Wednesday 12 December in the north Bohemian town of Nový Bor, where the film was made. The Prague premier takes place the following day at Kino Atlas.

The end of the second world war in Northern Bohemia was messy. The occupation of the Sudetenland in 1938 triggered the fall of Czechoslovakia. The end of the war in 1945 was marked by violence against Germans in many of the border regions of  Bohemia and Moravia. Stone Games looks at what happened in Nový Bor once a memorial was build to commemorate eight Germans killed at the end of the war.
